Summer Day Camps 2020

June 8-12, June 15-26*

For the week of June 8 the Intensives will run Monday through Friday. The morning program will run 9:00-12:30 and is designed for students ages 10-14 who have taken Ballet II or Ballet III. The afternoon program is designed for students ages 9-14 who have taken Ballet I or Ballet II.

The June 15-26 Day Camp and the August Day Camp (dates tbd)are designed for students ages 11 and older who are working at an Intermediate to Advanced level. These Day Camps are full day programs. These day camps will offer classes in Classical Ballet, Pointe and Variations, Contemporary and Lyrical Dance, Contemporary Ballet, Strength and Stretch, Dance Health and Nutrition and Dance History. These Day Camps will feature Mary Tarpley along with other guest teachers.

Classes will take place at our lovely and comfortable studios at 225 E. 8th Ave, Durango, Colorado. We have plenty of parking. The day camp provides students with an opportunity to pursue that extra summer training to give dancers a leg up to help them reach their future goals in dance.

Ballet Durango Summer Day Camps run under the direction of Frances Rosser Taylor. Ballet Durango offers classes taught by an experienced and highly qualified faculty of dance teachers from throughout the region. The faculty for 2020 will include Frances Rosser Taylor, Mary Tarpley, Judy Austin and guest artists.
