Welcome to the Ballet Durango
Summer Intensive
June 10-21 2013
The Ballet Durango Summer Intensive is a summer program of dance classes in beautiful Durango Colorado, described by many as one of the most scenic towns in the Southwest. Located in the southwest corner of Colorado in the Four Corners Region, Durango offers a multitude of family vacation opportunities for when you're not dancing! Visit Mesa Verde or ride the Durango Silverton Narrow Guage Railroad. It's a great place to spend time in the summer. Hike or bike in the surrounding mountains or do the "Durango Stroll" down Main Ave.
The two week summer dance intensive offers classes in Classical Ballet, Pointe and Variations, Pas de Deux, Modern Dance, Contemporary Ballet, Pilates for Dancers, Dance Health, and Dance History. The 2013 Ballet Durango Summer Intensive will run from June 10 through June 21.
Classes will take place at the lovely and comfortable studios at Durango Dance, 1120 Main Ave. Suite 1, Durango, Colorado. The intensive provides students with an opportunity to pursue that extra summer training to give dancers a leg up to help them reach their future goals in dance. Ballet Durango offers a full day program for intermediate to advanced dancers ages 10 to adult, separated into appropriate levels. We will also be offering a half day program for students ages 9-11 during the first week of the Intensive. More details to follow.
EVENING MASTER CLASSES WILL BE HELD DURING THE BALLET DURANGO SUMMER INTENSIVE. THESE CLASSES ARE OPEN TO THE PUBLIC. THEY ARE DESIGNED FOR ADULTS AND TEENS WHO CAN WORK AT AN INTERMEDIATE TO ADVANCED LEVEL. THESE CLASSES WILL BE TAUGHT BY THE BALLET DURANGO FACULTY AS WELL AS GUEST INSTRUCTORS. MORE INFORMATION TO FOLLOW!

Ballet Durango runs under the direction of Frances Rosser Taylor, Artistic Director of The Durango Youth Ballet.
